Hello Everyone!

I hope you all had a great Labor Day Holiday. Back to work, school, football and cooler weather!

Thank you all who brought school supplies for Woodrow Wilson Elementary. These items will be delivered this week.

Also, a big thank you to all who participated in our “Ladies and Gentleman with a Hattitude” luncheon. Everyone looked beautiful in their fancy hats. Congratulations to our hat winners: Jennifer McCarter, Lisa Bumpas and Sue Finke. You looked fabulous!

Big Congrats to our New and Renewal Member raffle winners: Liz Glover (new) and Karla Pair (renewal). Thank you, Sue Finke for putting this together for our members.

I hope to see you all at our luncheon and general meeting on Thursday, September 27, 2018. We will begin to explore “LEAN IN” with a video talk by Shonda Rhimes, “My Year of Saying Yes to Everything”. Find your best self by saying yes. She will share with us how she rediscovered joy in what matter to her most. You do not want to miss this video and discussion. We have a new venue, the Old San Francisco Steakhouse, located at 10223 Sahara St.

Just around the corner is the FIWT 74th Annual Convention, October 18-21 in San Marcos. I would love to see all of you at Convention. We always have a great time! We will be offering a scholarship for the registration fees to be paid for a first timer to attend Convention. Reach out to Susie Hollingsworth at if you have questions. Deadline to apply for scholarship is Friday, September 7th. Drawing will be held at the September Board Meeting on September 11th.
